Dear All,
I was trying to connect to the Azure SQL database from Power BI Desktop. My DBA has created a new login user in the Database to access the Database from Power BI. When I was trying from Power BI Desktop, I could connect to Database, but When I try to click on any table, it shows below SELECT Permission denied error. When I verified the grants on the new login user, I could see SELECT Grant is there on the tables from dbo.
Please find the screenshot below :
Any suggestions on this ? Is there any impact of Microsoft account login also with these permissions?
My microsoft account does not have azure portal access. Is that matter in this case?
Thanks.

I could connect, execute and load the data now. The issue is in the connection details/setting, the encryption check box is getting selected automatically. I have to unselect that check box and then try connecting again. Then its working. Thanks.
@Nandu2520 , Install SSMS to the same machine and try to connect with the same user. It may be ip whitelisting issue.
Make sure IP is allowed and user have privileges
Yeah, I have already installed SSMS and tried connecting with the user. I could connect and I could execute queries on the same tables. Only Power BI Desktop is giving the issue. Do we need to give any specific permissions to access from Power BI Desktop ?
