SAP HANA database import and SAP Clientid

I'm trying to import data from SAP via the "get data" : SAP HANA database option.  I installed the SAP client driver odbc software.

 

I'm able to see the object (table) and create the query in PBI desktop.

However no data is returned. I'm sure this is because we also need to provide the SAP Client ID 200 or 500, that we have in our company.

I see no option where I can set the clientid in the datasource settings.

 

When I use "Get Data" via ODBC , I'm able to set the client.  But not via the above SAP Hana database option.

Any idea where I can set this client id via the SAP HANA DB connection?

    Hi wvanpeel,

    I regularly use ODBC to connect the HANA database to get the data, but I don't have any idea about the SAP HANA database. may use the below link to move forward. 

    Connect to sap HANA Database from Microsoft power BI

    If you can use ODBC, I will guide you on how to connect.

    Hi, I was able to connect via the ODBC get data option, with PowerBI desktop.

    However, when publishing this report into the Power BI service, I'm not able to set the credentials, as it is greyd out.

    We need to have this option working in the PBI service also.

     

    This is why I was trying the get  -->"SAP HANA Database'  to work, but it's not allowing the clientid setting...

      Hi wvanpeel 

       

      Please check if you have configure the connection of the semantic model.

       

      The issue where the “Data Source Credentials” option is grayed out typically happens when the credentials for one or more data sources are not fully configured.

      About configuring the connections to data source:

      on-premise source 

      Cloud source

      When you connect to the data source, the crenditial are needed.
