SAP BW with Power BI issue

Hello All,

I have recently started facing some connection issues with one of the BW modules in Power BI.
Before jumping to the issue, I would like to provide background on the connection.

For the past few months, I have been retrieving data from the SAP BW PP (Plant Production) Module in Power BI and refreshing the report daily after publishing it on the server. About a month ago, I also began connecting to the EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) Module, which worked well for a few months, and the refresh was successful. However, starting on September 18, 2020, the refresh started failing, and I am now unable to connect to that module.

1st Screenshot: Error msg when I am trying to connect to this module again

2nd Screenshot: When I am trying to refresh my already built report.

I am unsure whether this issue is coming from the SAP and Power BI sides.

Any help or recommendations will be highly appreciated.

Thank You

Hello Mr. Rajendra, Thank you for your quick response. I will check the connection based on your suggestion but I am not able to understand that why at the same time it is working fine for other modules like PP and PM and failing for EWM module. Does this mean some settings need to be done in this module form SAP BW side also ?

Also, I tried authenticating again by removing the connection and adding it again, but still facing the same issue.

Hi VaishnaviP -You may need to check specific SAP Notes, such as those suggested in the earlier error (e.g., SAP Note 1304564, 2632620). These notes might provide insights into SAP BW module-specific settings that could impact connectivity.

By addressing both Power BI and SAP BW-specific factors, especially around authorization and query settings, you can further narrow down where the issue lies.

If the problem persists, consulting your SAP BW administrator to review settings specific to the EWM module would be beneficial. They can verify whether any configuration changes, data volume issues, or SAP transport requests are affecting the connectivity.

        Hope the above information helps.
