SAP BW Connection - server crash

Hi together, 

we previously had issues with the connection from Power BI to SAP BW. 

If users have requested a large amount of data, the SAP BW server has sometimes crashed completely. 

Is there a possibility to make settings either on the Power BI or on the SAP BW side, so that only a certain amount of data can be requested to prevent the performance of the BW server from being limited?
