SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR doesn't update on period selection

Hi,

I have a period table that has a bi-directional relationship on my date table. 

When selecting one of the periods the date table filters accordingly, but my measure using SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR does not change. As if it's ignoring the filter on the date table.

My measure is this

test = CALCULATE([Sum Gross Sales], SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR('Calendar'[Date]))
