Row level security in existing workspace

Hi,

I have a workspace of 30 members. I have a confidential data with email id of 30 members. I want row level security such that the logged in member can see only his data. E.g I have table visualization with fields emailid, Name, Sales.

Each member should see only his particular row in table. The problem is this works with username function by creating a new workspace, but is not working with existing workspace.

Issue 1: The workspace is actually a Microsoft teams group. So the owner of the workspace is entire team. Whatever security we apply, the owner things overwrite that.

Issue 2:  Even if the owner of the teams group make everybody a member, still the user id of owner is a distribution list which is entire team. This is making all kind of row level security null and void.

Hi @Anonymous,

Instead of making everybody member of the workspace create an app and share it with the persons you want if RLS is configured for the report it will work as expected.

@MFelix  Thanks for such a quick reply. But we want to implement this in existing workspace.

Hi @PowerBlishard,

You don't need to create a new workspace except if it has been created a long time ago and is not yet on the new "format".

On the right upper side don't yoy have the publish app button?
