Row Level Security for non-assigned group member

Hi,

I have 15 members for this report and need to filter out particular members to specific filter.

e.g. I've assigned 1 person to KT to restict the person only to see KT values.

Then should I create another group for unlimited view for the rest of members to make them see all KT/SKT/LGU+? which wouldn't have been needed if I didn't create particular RLS group?

Wondering if I can only create group for only resticted person and this not affect to rest of members.

Hi @jeongkim

If I understand the question correctly, then no, once you've modified RLS, you have to modify the options for all report readers. You can create two groups: 'kt' and 'others' or something similar to this. Alternatively, you could choose not to use RLS and instead create filtered reports for 'limited' users only. Another option is to grant edit permissions to workspace members, contributors, or admins, but this is less recommended.

Hi Ritaf,

Thanks for advice,

Can you tell me how the limited report work please?

Hi @jeongkim
Just save a copy of the report with the needed filters, hide and lock them, and share a report with limited user by the link.
To be on the safe side create for him a separate workspace ( with viewer access)

oh then it needs to share respective set report to respective users?

RLS would be simpler then?
