We have a very large and complex PBIX that is leveraging RLS. The problem is with the report tabs/pages, those do not appear to support roles. Sadly, this mean we would need to create many duplicate copies (1 per role) of the report and maintain/upgrade them separately drastically increasing complexity and chance of errors.
Is there a way around this strange limitation?
The only way I'm aware of that allows you to somewhat get around this limitation is by creating a slicer that contains a list of the page names, use RLS to filter down the list of pages a given user is able to see, and use a bookmark button & measure for dynamic page navigation.
Example: Can you do Page-Level Security in Power BI? - YouTube
