Retain higher-level detail when drilling down in matrix
I have a client that is used to Power Pivot in Excel, and would like to keep the upper level of a hierarchy intact and unexpanded when drilling down to the lext level. To wit, here is the top level ...
Hi man... I took the work to create the user and answer you. I hope this helps:
- In Matrix visual settings, select layout type "Tabular". This will allow the table to group/merge rows with same value at higher levels.
- Then add the fields you want to use as "levels" in the "Rows" section.
- Add the rest of fields you want to be shown as "Columns" in the "Values" section.
I had to figure out by myself playing around with PBi.
