Restricting Export of Data option for certain visuals

Hi everyone

I have a Power BI report that contains various visuals (a table and several slicers). Each visual has the ... option which, when clicked, allows report users to export the relevant data.

I only want users to exporet data from the table visual. Howver, despite several bouts of training, users constantly try to output data from the slicer visuals by clicking ... and selecting Export Data.

Is there any way to disallow / restrict the exporting of data from specific visuals in a report?

I think that enabling "Export Data" only for specific visuals would defintely prevent a lot of users calling for help when they export a slicer by mistake. Most of the times visual are adjacent (or very close to each other) so "Export Data" link might be popping up from the wrong visual. Please add this feature. Thank you.

Hi @jonclay ,

Unfortunately, there is no visualization level setting to restrict the exported data. You can vote for this idea.

Respectfully, Power BI and Power Automate are pretty limited in this regard. I tried using the Power Automate visual as a workaround, but when you have 200+ users you have to manage RLS for, it's not in the least bit practical. It's a shame that idea is 5 years old and not many votes.
