Restrict access to a specific report page for different user groups
- 3 months ago
There is no page security in Power BI
The only way to get something similar is using Apps BUT that only LOOKS like page security but it is not: it only prevents one or more users from seeing a page but if another user (with the app that shows the page hidden to the others) sends the link to the users not able to see it, they will then see the page
Only security is RLS and OLS
To secure pages you need different workspaces and therefore different apps

Hello TelasangVarsha ,
Thank you Parchitect and FBergamaschi for the great suggestions, ye we don't have direct way but can have couple of workarounds :
1. Create separate reports, Publish them to a Power BI App, use Audiences feature to manage who can see a page ( as suggested by Parchitect ).
2. If you want a single report, then follow these steps ( Combination of RLS and Page navigation):
=> Create report with multiple pages
=> Hide all pages
=> Create a Security Table ( using Enter data) with two fields ROLE & ALLOWED_PAGE
=> Set up Row Level Security ( using USERPRINCIPLENAME )
=> Add a Home/Landing Page.
=> Build a dynamic navigation button : add a blank button ( Home/Landing page) -> Set Action = Page Navigation -> Set dynamic destination using f(x) -> Set page name as ALLOWED_PAGE( DAX Measure)
This gives what you want but not as secure as method 1
I hope this helps.
Did I answer your query ? Mark this as solution if this helps, kudos are apprecciated.
