Reset of filters

Using the Reset Button,     Insert/Buttons/Reset and using to reset all filters on a page.  Works fine.  However, I also have a Filter in the "Filter on this page " which is supposed to be the "master" filter.  
However, when you click on the Reset All on the Page, it resets the "Filter on this page" filter as well, thus negating the "master" filter.
What am I missing?

You should be creating a bookmark, that has the Filter on this page as needed.

Then insert the button and from the format menu select action ==> Type ==> bookmark (select the bookmark you just created). This will not reset your page level filter
