Republish same report Error
Hi All,
I am trying to republish the same report which is already present in power bi service then it has shown Error: An Error occurred while publishing file. Publishing failed for an unknown reason.
Please help me

Possible reasons -
- Schedule refresh was executing the same time
- Maybe you are using old Power BI version
- Your file contains corrupted measures or queries
Alternatively, you can try to upload the pbix file from the service. Also, try to publish it into a different workspace and see, if it is working, then delete the existing report and republish it again.

From your description, the issue occurs only for one specific report when you republish report from desktop to Power BI service, right?
As mentioned by nandukrishnavs , please publish the report via Get Data -> Local File on Power BI service to replace the pbix file see if the same error occurs.

vijay22kar , I faced recently in May 2020. If you have some unsaved changes, especially in Data transformation/Edit query. They save those.
Check your login, connection and VPN(if required) and try again
