I have a KPI power BI that currently shows sales progress vs target and I can break that down by product code without issue, I 've using it for over a year now and it is great.
However for 2024 I need to be able to show individual sales person against target and I have so far been unable to make this work.
I have my live sales table, this contains details of the sale, product code, value, date and sales person. I have a target table which contains the targets for each sales person by month. I also have a calendar table.
The sales target table looks like
Salesperson | Date | Product A target | product B target | total sales target |
joe bloggs |01/01/24| £10,000 | £10,000 | £20,000
Joe bloggs |01/02/24| £12,000 | £12,000 | £24,000
Fred Smith |01/01/24 |£7,000 | £10,000 | £17,000
Fred Smith |01/02/24 |£70,000 | £0 | £70,000
etc
I cannot make any method work to show me sales person progress against target. The target table can be easily changed to a different format but I do need to set targets against different product types.
It is stated in my original post, I have a sales table that contains the live sales information, this includes details of the product sold and the sales person that sold it, from that I can output a list by month of the total of what each sales person has sold by product group. This is no problem, works well and has been in place for a year.
I have created a target table which lists each sales person and their monthly target for each product group, I want to be able to show their progress against this target by month as the year progresses.
The live sales table is taken from my SQL DB, the target table has been created manually direct in Power BI.
Currently I can show Joe bloggs sold £5k product A, £6k product B etc
I want to be able to show on a single tile that joe bloggs sold £5k product A against a target of £10k, £6k of product b against a target of £10k and so on.
I have created the target table, so if the format of that table needs to be chaged to facilitate easier reporting then that is possible for me to do.

Hi @Simon_harris ,
So do you enter your sales data manually? For example you say joe, in your table product A has a sales target of 10, then joe bloggs sold £5k product A against a target of £10k, so the 5 is from another table? I don't know how much performance each sales person can sell ah.

Hi @Simon_harris ,
YDo you want to show the progress of individual salespeople's goals? What do you want the output to look like roughly? What does it mean that the goal table can be easily changed to a different format? Is it possible to provide the output you want?
