I am creating a report from our on prem Active Directory where I want to report on the members in a group.
Group membership is reported correctly for user accounts but does not display nested groups.
Any ideas why?
Hi @reimana,
Based on my research, you can connect to Active Directory from Power BI Desktop following the instructions in this blog, load user table into Desktop.
As per this similar blog and similar thread, user account status are controlled by the userAccountControl attribute, you should be able to expand userAccountControl column from user table in Power BI Desktop, then check the values.

Daniel He
I am able to query AD that is not the issue.
The issue is that when I look inside the groups, I do not see the nested groups. -I do not see groups in a group but I do see the normal AD accounts in the group.
Also need to know how to get all members of a group including the members within groups in groups.
