Report with multiple views controlled by a slicer.
I have a Report, that I made for my boss. Now there is a need to expand the report and make it available to more people.
At the moment I have 5 table views. I have a button that can change between viewing 4 or 5 tables. Using Bookmarks, works like a charm.
The new users need to be able to choose the views they want to use, between 2 and 6 views.
I thought I had a great idea. I would create a ViewTable like this:
And then use a slicer and a measure to create a value usable to choose a Bookmark or Page in my report.
But apparently it is not an option to use DAX to change Bookmark/Page based on a value. Yes I should have researched/considered this before trying.
I could do this with buttons, but I would need a lot of buttons. I am aware that no matter how I choose to solve this I will need alot of Bookmarks/pages. 😉
Should I tell my boss, that we will have to find another way to do this. Only way I can think of is multiple reports/pages. Or is there a brilliant way of doing this that I have not found yet?

I have created a sample Power BI file and attached it here. The report includes a sample slicer with multiple views based on the sample data. When a user selects a specific view from the slicer and clicks the arrow icon next to it, the report will navigate to the corresponding page. I hope this method isuits your requirement else use the field parameters as super user suggested.

you can use field parameters , check it if it works for your case.

I will look into that, I have also been pointed to: Dynamic Page Navigation in Power BI Desktop | by @imVivRan | Analytics Vidhya | Medium Though that will have me creating a lot of pages. 😉
Just had a look at field parameters, and I know that I can use that in some of my reports, so very nice. Put I don't see how I can use it to change between 2 or 5 visuals being shown and which of my 5 visuals that is. Maybe I don't fully understand it.

If it is just column in the same viz, field parameters and slicers might suffice. However, if you intend to show different sets of visuals, bookmarks are necessary.

It works but if I am to make it so that I all combinations of my views, I'll be making 63 pages.
And with a future 7th view it will be in the 120-ties and be very complex to maintain.
I'll probably by asking around get it down to 10-20 pages (because some views will be irelevant) but that is still a lot of pages.

If the solution that we provided didn't work, please use Field Parameters as danextian Idrissshatila suggested, which allow users to select multiple views from a slicer and show them dynamically within the same visual or page.Then no need for multiple pages or bookmarks.
If your issue has been resolved alread, it would be great if you could share the steps or the final solution you followed, so others facing a similar issue can benefit from it as well.
