HI all, I would appreciate help on starting the app. Previous versions worked but I installed 15.7.1799.16 (latest) and it only briefly flashes the usual "Little Yellow Screen" and then does nothing.
Tried:
1. Unistall- Reboot-Reinstall
2. Deleted "C:\Users\Kone\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power BI Report Builder\15.7\user.config"
3. Re installed after deleting
4. Tried "Repair Installation"
Traces show only: 2022-09-06 13:48:39.7028|INFO|PowerBIReportBuilder|Initialized logging service nothing more
I'm currently out of ideas - maybe some registry setting could help - but what?

Report Builder will not launch

We had previously not removed all versions
2) Download & Install the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Redistributable Package (Which can be obtained directly from Microsoft at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=10CC340B-F857-4A14-83F5-25634C3BF043&displa...)
SSRS Desktop Report Builder Applicartion fails to Launch
Yeah look under users home AppData/Local/Microsoft and try deleting or renaming "Report Builder" folder. Sometimes the app messes some preferences and then crashes. That worked for me (might be also localLow or roaming folders) – sproketboy Feb 25 at 22:11
The solution provided by sproketboy in their comment on Feb 25 at 22:11 worked for me. Given that it actually solved this situation for me, I'm re-posting it here as an answer.
Best Regards
