Report Builder: Group is not expanded when report is first run

I have one group in my report and I want it to be expanded when the report is first run.

I set the Visibility to "Show" and the Initial Toggle State is True:

But when I run the report, the grouped values are both collapsed:

How can I make them initally both expanded?

Thanks,

Rick

Thanks.

Thank you for this! I had been stuck on this for a bit. I was changing the visibility on the text box. Changing the visibility on the child group was the key.

Hi @Anonymous,

Have you added the child-level groups to your report that used to expand records? If not it will display the group fields without any records expanded.

In addition, you can also take a look at the following document if it helps:

Understanding Groups (Report Builder) - SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) | Microsoft Docs
