I've been reading The Big Book of Dashboards: Visualizing Your Data Using Real-World Business Scenarios. The first scenario in the book has this visual:
The feedback ratings for three different groups are given:
Each average rating category/group is a different shape. The range of the ratings are connected by a line.
The generic Desktop Power BI defaul visuals don't seem to be able to do anything simliar to this. The book calls this a 'dot plot'. Searching the store for this does not seem to bring up anything simliar. Scatter plot seems like it would work at first glance, but doesn't seem to allow categorical values into the Y Axis perhaps (based on my experimentation)?
Any suggested free visuals in the marketplace to replicate something like this in Power BI?
My instinct says a bullet chart would be the alternative way to visualize this in Power BI. But just curious if it is possible to replicate it as it is visualized in the book.
Hi @RhodesE,
What if you use a scatter plot with the questions on your X-Axis, rating on Y and then use the category in legends. That would show the three different ratings along a line separated by colours.
Mark this post as a solution if that works for you!

You mentioned putting the questions on the X-Axis...
But, the scatter plot does not allow non-numerical values in the X or Y axis.
