Replacing null value

HI, in powerBI, I need to find a crafty formula to fill in the cells of the last column. Below is the screenshot taken from PowerBI:

To better explain what I need to do, I'll reproduce everything with the following Excel:

- In the table on the left there is the situation I have. In the table on the right I have represented the situation I would like (and for which I ask you for help)

- "IDRegis" column: represents the identification number of the accounting record. Each accounting entry is made up of multiple lines depending on the specific case.

- "ContabMovRowID" column: represents the row number of each accounting entry.

- "DATABASE" column: it is the name of the customer to whom that accounting entry refers. For each accounting entry the name is reported only in one line and in the others there is the value "nulll".

How do I ensure that if there is a customer name (for example Customer 1) in an accounting entry ("IDRegis") it is also reported in the other lines of that specific accounting entry (replacing value "null")?

  • Hi Ferraz

    1. In Power Query, create a Duplicate table from Exisiting Table

    2. Only keep IDRigis & ANAGRAFICA column
    3. Remove null value from ANAGRAFICA column
    4. Then Marge with 1st table with Duplicate Table with IDRigis (innerjoin)
    5. Expand the ANAGRAICA column (new column name will created as ANAGRAICA_2)
5 Remove the main ANAGRAICA column and rename  ANAGRAICA_2 as ANAGRAICA
