Replacing a Datsource in a Report

Hi Experts,

I have a report which I created  from the datadump in excel stored on my computer. Now in order to make the report dynamic, I want to connect it directly to the my DB and replace the existing Datasource with the new one. All the fields are same in  both Datasources as my Initial Dump is from my DB Only. How can I accomplish it in POWER BI.

Thanks

Deepak

Hi @drrai66,

You can try it:

Create a separated PBIX getting the data from the DB;

Click on "Advanced Editor" on "Edit Queries";

Copy the steps where it connects to the database;

Go to your original report, click in "Edit Queries" -> "Advanced Editor" and replace the source.
