Rename Columns

Hallo,

when I rename some columns in PowerBI, my Dashboard crashes, because e.g. the measures cannot reach the column anymore due to the new name.

Is there any better way to rename the columns?

I have tested this multiple times directly by changing column names in Power Query editor and report editor for both type of calculations, complex DAX and simple DAX. 

Both got changed and the measure always show the new column names, so it never breaks.

I am using Power BI Desktop December2021 release. 

Please note that any calculations that use the renamed table, or that use columns from the renamed table, must also be updated, and the data derived from those calculations must be refreshed and recalculated. Depending on how many tables and calculations are affected, this can take some time to complete. Therefore, the best time to rename tables is either during the import process, or before you start to build complex relationships and calculations.

@Anonymous , Usually, when you rename a column it should get correct in a measure too.

Make sure you are using table[column name], which means you are using table name along with column name
