Removing a blank option from filter

Morning,

Is there a simple way to remove the blank (1823) from the filter page and only show options with responses? I have searched for a solution and tried to select all and untick the blank, padlocked and published but that didn't work.

Hi @Aquarius ,

The fields in the filter are the contents contained in the dataset. Unless you delete the blank fields in the dataset, they will be displayed in the filter.

You can also set the filter to a non blank field in the report level filter, and then the blank field will not be displayed in the page level filter and visual level filter.

Hi @Aquarius 

I'm assuming that you are happy to both remove the Blank option from the list of filter options, as well as filter the entire report to exclude Blank.

If so, you could try this:

1. Add two copies of the Age filter to the filter pane.
2. On the first filter, select all then deselect Blank. This will result in an "is not (Blank)" filter.
3. Hide this filter (icon resembling an eye).
4. Now the second filter will not include the Blank option, and will be the only filter visible in the published report.
