Remove sub total under date column

The informational display on the report is useful, I noticed that with Subtotals turned off, the Date column in the visual displaying mm/dd/yyyy fits better.  To my eyes, the subtotal rows as frequently as the repeat distracts from the table layout of the text and columns.

Have you considered, adding the metrics and KPI to the Cards at the top of the report, adding slicers to limit the display in the table, and adding tooltips throughout the visual for the reader's sake?  This is a good start, and I believe that it is more layout, recap, and theme work to tell the data story.

You can also take advantage of adding SVGs to one or more areas to help focus on the visual data as an aid when the page is filtered.
