Remove Time Stamp from Date

I have a "Start Time" field which has a standard date with a time stamp - hours, minutes seconds.  When I create a date slicer, all the various time stamps show up in the list (see image).  What I want is just MM/DD/YY to show up in the list.  How do I trim the time stamp from the date.  I've tried creating a column to pull MM/DD/YY but couldn't get it to work.  I think we could have an entire forum just on working with dates. 🙂

Hi @ConnieMaldonado

you can create a column like

Column = FORMAT([Datetime];"DD.MM.YYYY")

and use it as slicer

@ConnieMaldonado change the data type to date, you can do it two ways, go to query editor and change type by clicking the icon on the column header (prefered way) or changing data type column tool tab by selecting the date column
