Relative Date Slicer AND Date Between Range Slicer

Hello Power BI Community,

I am trying to figure out a way to be able to use two types of date slicers in the same report.

In my current Power BI report I want to use the Relative Datye slicer and Date between slicer both.

So if user want to use the relative date slicer then user can select from Relative Date slicer and if he want to Select some dates then he can use the date slicer.

So I have a report that I use the Date slicing on most of the time, but on occasion I want to be able to select a Relative range Like  last 1 week or 1 month etc.

Please let me know if it is possble or how can i implement the same in my report?

Hi @ramesh0103 ,

Based on my test, just need to create two different types of slicers to achieve.

Do you wish to have other requirements on this basis?

I was in need of the exact same thing and I have ended up using bookmarks and selections.

You need 2 buttons for switching.

1st button with action that switches to Bookmark Relative

and 2nd button with action that switches to Bookmark Between

In Bookmark Relative, hide your button for switching to relative and in vice versa for Between

With this, you can switch between those 2, but mind you, if you switch back and forth, the selection will get reset to the selection you have in Bookmark but switching between pages does not affect anything. It does work with synced slicers on different pages too.

Hey did you ever figure this out? I also want the users to be able to switch between choosing either a Relative Date or just a specific Date Range. I think it's confusing to have both of those filters showing at the same time.

Bump! I'm on the same boat - Would love to have my users have the ability to switch between an in between and relative date slicer type as per their operational convinience

me too..  Same question. Guess I'll try using bookmark?  appreciate any other ideas you may of found.
