Relationships between date and sector
Dear,
Can someone please help me with the following?
I have three tables with headcount data:
1. actuals
2. expected growth
3. planned growth
2 out of 3 sheets are linked to:
- 1 reference table for the sector
- 1 reference table for the date
The 3rd table is only linked to the sector table and I cannot link it to the date table.
PowerBi says: You cant create a direct active relationship between ... and ... because that would introduce ambiguity between tables Master_date (this is my date table) and TAP_data (this is the 3rd sheet) to make this relationship active, deactivate or delete one of the relationships between Master_date and TAP_data first.
I am confused because:
2. the expected growth is linked to both master_date and CC_reference without problems.
3. the planned growth is also linked to both...
and 1. the actuals cannot be linked to both..

Hi Lorraine88-Siri ,
The reason for this message is that this relationship makes the filter delivery path not unique. As shown in the figure, when I create a relationship between Table C and Table D, a similar message pops up. The reason is that filters from table A can now be passed through table B to table D or table C to table D, which creates ambiguity.

Can you share sample data and sample output in table format? Or a sample pbix after removing sensitive data.
