Relationship different with Direct Query vs Import

Hi all,

I have a fact table and want to connect it to a table that consists of two columns: the primary key of the fact table and another column with a long string.

I am importing the fact table and would like to connect the second table via direct query in order to have short dataset refresh times (which wouldn't have to import the column with the long string). 

The problem is that I cannot establish a one-to-one relationship between the fact table and the second table. If I import the second table, however, it allows me to create a one-to-one relationship with the fact table. The second table contains around 7 million rows. Is it because there is a 100k limit on direct query that Power BI can't define the relationship correctly?

Any help would be appreciated!

Problem is solved. Just established the relationship again and I waited until the relationship was detected was done. Then it worked!
