Hi
I feel like this is a very basic query, but I'm really struggling with it. Could someone please help?
I have three tables: Fact_Sales, Fact_Activity & Dim_Users. So that I can filter both Fact tables by the user who owns them I have created a one-way relationship between:
In my Test Relationships report, I have a Sales page and an Activity Page, both of which have a User Slicer
But, I also need to filter Activity by the Sale that it relates to. And here's the issue, I can't create a third (active) relationship between Sales > Activity because it creates a conflict between (see image below):
The only solution I can see is to have a duplicate Dim_User table to filter Activities by, but then the user slicers on the two report pages cannot be synced
Am I missing something basic, and is there a way to achieve this without duplicating the Dim_User table?
What am I missing or doing wrong?
Cheers
Jim

Hi @jimbob2285 ,
This is hapenning because there is already a link between both tables using the Dim Users, in this case you need to create another dimension table with the Sales ID, alongside with all the fields you would need to use as a filter for those two tables.
Don't know what is the purpose of the filtering between those two tables but I suggest that you revise if you can combine both table into one, not sure what how the rest of your model looks like but can be an option.
