Relate a Sharepoint User Information List to Another SharePoint List

Hello, my report model has come to a standstill while I'm trying to relate SharePoint's (hidden) user information list (UIL) user data to my Stakeholder Registry which is also a list on the same SharePoint site. To summarize, I'm looking carefully through my expandable Stakeholder Registry fields but have not been able to locate a key, such as an ID column, the would enable this relationship. I'm left to rely on a human in the loop making routine updates, which is what I'm trying to automate.

Does anybody have the UIL expertise to help draw this connection?

Many thanks

Conclusion:

To relate a user in my Stakeholder Registry (SP List) to the User Information List, I would create a "Title (Linked Account)" field which gives me each person's name (ie, their Title), and a Lookup to the Title field from the UIL, effectively allowing me to manually associate the name from my SH Registry to the UIL. (Unfortunately this is how my team was already doing it; I think it's the best way, but requires a human in the loop).

Hello again, I'm aware about the generalities of creating an Index column for example, how and why, but the problem I'm facing is that I'm fearing there really is no useful connection that exists to the UIL. By creating an index column, I would happily get my 1-N IDs, but the problem still remains that a UIL list appears to reside independently from other lists on the SharePoint site.

@maibacherstr

In Power Query Editor you can create a custom column with ID .

IF you are able share some data after sanitized and after removing classified information can explain better

Hello sir, in my case I would have to take half a day to sanitize and recreate a complex dataset, but you definitely have my attention with the creation of a new ID column. Is there any more detail you can take a moment to share, about how that would be accomplished?

Many thanks,

Dan
