We have a hybrid model mixing import on Dataflow and direct query over a streaming dataset.
It was fully working, but now the model fails on the following error message:
"Either the database 'StreamingDataSet' does not exist, or you do not have permissions to access it."
Error is reproductible when trying to add streaming dataset to an existing one.
The streaming dataset works fine when used separately.
We don't get any error when trying to add direct query on a non-streaming dataset.
I currently experience the same error message.
Situation:
ISSUE: Dataset from Template app, when trying to connect to a different source (e.g. Excel) Power BI asks me to add a local model when pressing this button I get the error message:
NO ISSUE: When connecting to a dataset which is not created via a Template app.
(Pro workspace)
In Feb 2023 Desktop edition also reports the same error
Same issue. Reported to Microsoft, who confirmed that it is a bug in Power BI 😞 Awaiting for it to be fixed.
Getting the issue with December and September releases of Power BI Desktop, did not try older ones but seems to indicate the issue is Service-related
