Registration pop-up
Since 1 or 2 versions ago, when I install Power BI Desktop on a new machine, everytime I start the application there is a pop-up asking me to register.
I find this behaviour very intrusive, because to dismiss it, you have to click "I already have..." and then you get a "X" to close this notification. This is something I expect from some C-class freeware, not Microsoft.
I regularly show Power BI Desktop to new users and build some reports for them, but everytime they start the file they get this annoying notification. They get more hesitant to use it everytime they get this pop-up.
Can anyone tell me how to permanently disable this pop-up, or can this be disabled in a new version please?
Kind regards

Hi SNV,
After test, you got the following pop-up, right? If it is, please check if you sign in the Power Bi desktop using an account. If you haven't signed in, please create a Power BI account and sign in. And I guess the New users also haven't sign in, right? If my assume is right, please let them sign in after creating an account, then check if the pop-up disappears.

Hi Angelia,
That is the pop-up the users see, yes.
It would probably disappear when users sign in, but I don't want to let them sign in.
I understand that when starting up Power BI Desktop for the first time you get that pop-up. But if you decline I think it shouldn't appear everytime you start Power BI Desktop.
I want the option to just start a new installation of Power BI Desktop and not get that pop-up or only the very first time and when you decline it, it doesn't reappear without forcing the users to register.
You can use Power BI Desktop without an account right?
Kind regards,
Sander

Hi SNV,
Yes, we can still use the Power BI desktop without account. But it shows the registration pop-up every time I use it. So I suggest you sign up an Power BI account for free. It's convenient to use it.
