Regarding with Power Bi Semantic Model where relationship is not working

Hello everyone,

I have a Date table and an Employee Salary table in Power BI. I created a relationship between the Date table [Date] and the Employee Salary table [Salary Date]. The cross-filter direction is set to single-side, but I am still unable to slice or filter the data based on the Date hierarchy. The relationship does not work even when I set the cross-filter direction to both sides. I have been struggling with this issue for the past day and have not been able to solve it. Please help me with this concern. This Image Consist the Above Relationship between the tables

  • The first thing to ensure is that both columns have the same data type. I have had mulitple experiences where some rogue data in a date column prevents it from loading in as date type. So I would be trying to filter a text column with a date column.

Although I am using the same date data type for the dates, I am still not getting any results.

Based on the image I would assume that you are using the date column in the DefaultDateLoading table to filter. Do any of the other tables in your model accept the filter from this table or is it just the Employee_Salary_Details table that does not filter?
