Reg Change datasource from local csv to power Bi dataset

Hi,

I have prepared Power BI report using local csv file. Now I want to change its csv with updated one but It should possible through Power BI Services i.e. As I uploded udated csv in power bi services it should update report accordingly.

 

please provide some solution for the same.

    Hi Rikin-Nayak-007 ,

     

    1. Install and configure the gateway.

    On-premises data gateway

    2. In service, Click Datasets in the sidebar. Find the dataset you want to refresh.--> Click Settings--> Data source credentials. -->If you get an error saying that your credentials are missing, edit the data source credentials. -->Add the datasource, Set the authentication method and data source privacy level.-->Apply. --> Return to the list of data sets and refresh the data set.(Before this step you need to make sure that the new csv file has the same path as the data source and that the metadata from the report creation can be read in the file.)
