Refreshing desktop project data from a command line

Hello,

When I use the PowerBI desktop, I always want to make sure I am using the most current version of data. So my process is to start PowerBI and then click the refresh button so that my tables are updated. this process can take upwards of 20 minutes. is there a way to do this from a command prompt so that I can refresh the data and then when I open the PowerBI desktop the data will already be updated?

Cheers,

Peter

Hi, @Anonymous

Currently, there is no way to automatically refresh data in pbix via command prompt.

It is recommended to publish the report to  PowerBI service and configure scheduled refresh to ensure that the latest report data can be seen at a certain time.
