I have a SQL server as a source and a PowerBI pro licence which fetch SQL data using import mode.
I am new to powerApp , so want to know if there is any way to refresh the power BI visuals using powerApp refresh button , as the requirement is to show the updated values on the report.
I could use direct query but I need one of the columns to be pivoted to use in one personalize visual. But DQ doesn't allow pivot. Hence checking for import mode report refresh.
Kindly provide some solution.

Hi @Anonymous ,
Due to Import storage mode is not supported for automatic page refresh.
Maybe you can try with this chrome Extended Programs.
Hope it helps,

Hi @Anonymous ,
If you want to refresh your Power BI reports using Power Apps, you could refrence the blog and video to have a try.
Likewise you can choose to refresh the report in Power BI.
You can perform a one-time, manual refresh in Power BI Desktop by selecting Refresh on the Home ribbon. When you select Refresh here, the data in the file’s model is refreshed with updated data from the original data source. This kind of refresh, entirely from within the Power BI Desktop application itself, is different from manual or scheduled refresh in Power BI.
In Power BI service you can refresh the dataset manually using Refresh Now or you can set up a refresh schedule using Schedule refresh.
When you set up a refresh schedule, Power BI connects directly to the data sources using connection information and credentials in the dataset to query for updated data, then loads the updated data into the dataset. Any visualizations in reports and dashboards based on that dataset in the Power BI service are also updated.

Thanks for the reply @Anonymous . I have tried the PowerApp approach from the video you shared. However the refresh of data is limited to 8 refresh per day for pro license. Is there any other way to refresh the data instantly on a button click?
