I use Power Bi Desktop to create reports and can simply refresh the data from dynamic tables using the refresh icon here
When I use app.powerbi the refesh button does not do the same (i.e. it does not re-run the query to refesh the data)
How do I get the data to refresh in app.powerbi ?

Hi @CliveUK ,
I'm assuming this is an import mode report.
After clicking the refresh button on the report page, the report gets the data from the dataset (cached in the service).
If you need to refresh the dataset immediately, you can click this Refresh Now button on the Workspace page.

Thank you, this answer is correct, though the refresh ability does not work as is appears to be disabled. The error message suggests there is some other reason though: "Data source errorScheduled refresh is disabled because at least one data source is missing credentials. To start the refresh again, go to this dataset's settings page and enter credentials for all data sources. Then reactivate scheduled refresh" so that is a separate problem.
Hello @CliveUK ,
here you could see all possible refresh types including the ones in power bi service.
