Refresh Embeeded dashboard

The embedded dashboard is from the Power BI service, so as long as the dataset in Power BI Service refreshes, the embedded dashboard refreshes. You have no more worry about the embedded dashboard refreshing.

We will be creating reports in Power BI desktop and use an ODBC driver to connect to live ServiceNow data. After we publish it to Power BI service how will the Power BI service report update since our data source is connecting to a service i.e. our client's ServiceNow instance so that the embedded dashboard is also real time.

You can install on-premise data gateway and set up data source for ODBC. See this thread Enterprise Gateway with ODBC
