We have a Redshift cluster that we built Power BI Desktop reports on for 3 months.
With Microsoft Power BI Desktop Version: 2.45.4704.722 64-bit (April 2017) we still can buid reports in a DirectQuery mode.
Our model is based on one table.
At the same time, with Microsoft Power BI Desktop Version: 2.47.4766.1221 64-bit (June 2017) we are getting an error
"This query contains transformations that can't be used for a live connection."
In Import mode it works.
May we have Desktop Optimized for Power BI Report Server that is able to use DirectQuery to Redshift?

Hi @Arsenij,
The answer in short is can't. I quote it from the official documents:
>>>Currently, the only data source supported for Power BI reports are a live connection to Analysis Services (tabular or multidimensional). More data sources will be added in future releases.
Please reference: reportserver-connect-data-sources. Sorry for the inconvenience.
BTW, if you have any more technical questions about Report Server, please post it in this special forum: ReportServer .
Best Regards!
