Hi everyone, how are you?
I'm facing a weird issue with query transformation in Power BI Desktop. I have a dataset where "column1" is a list of data (see image below):
When I expand "column1" it seems that it is a colum with list of records, with some null rows (see image below):
So, I again apply an expansion, now in this records column. Then, it seems that everything worked fine (see image below):
BUT...when I apply all the transformations, Power BI shows this error:
Its seems that few row records that were expanded did not matched the expected structure. I've tried a lot of transformations without success and searched on Web, but I can't find a solution for this. Anyone could help me?
Thanks!!!
Maybe the null's are causing problems?
You could check the Issues forum here:

I've tried to deleted nulls, but it was not the problem. I saw that there is a row that did not match the columns expected from majority of records (it has a different column inside the record, that do not have in other records). So it breaks the transformation flow...
Despite knowing which record is not maintaining the same structure of others, I'm only able to filter it out after the expansion step. However, is in this specific step that the error appears when I apply the transformations. In short, its seems that I have to find a way to filter out this row before expanding the column
Hi @pollyannaog,
It will happen if you have mixed data types in your column to expand. Please refer to the similar thread :https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Cannot-convert-value-to-type-table/td-p/173959
And super user ImkeF is the expert in dealing with this problem, you can ask him for help.
