Ready Only Pop-Up
My Powerbi files are typically saved on an organization shared drive. I noticed that when I am editing a file, and another person opens the same file (while I am STILL in it), that person does not get a "read-only" pop up message similar to Excel letting him/her know their changes won't be saved AND that I am in it. What's even more frustrating is that sometimes my changes do not save because I am not aware another person has the file opened. It's a lot of trouble having to ask each team member before saving. Is this 'pop up read-only message' feature available in PowerBI?
If not, are there any alternatives besides saving the file in My Workspaces (online)? I'd be best if this can be done through PowerBI Desktop.

Hi Anonymous ,
It is not supported to pop up read-only for now. There is a similar idea you can vote up.
For a workaround, maybe you could download the file to local, then upload to shared workspace after you changed it.

Thanks for the reply! We would ideally like for a pop-up so the original file can't be edited while another person is in it, so the alternative solution isn't ideal for our situation.

Hi Anonymous ,
You could submit your request at Power BI Ideas. For now, I think it is the best way to save the report and then to modify it.
