I would love to know what the animated visualisation is on this Power BI workbook and if its available somewhere?

Based on my test and observation, the animated visualization is customized by the author, which is similar as LineDot Chart and Pulse chart.

For more details about how to create the exact animated custom visual, you can post the question in Power BI Developer forum at http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Developer/bd-p/Developer to get dedicated support.

@douglasday Power BI report on that page doesn't seem to display anything except title.

I think you have to wait for the workbook to load.  Then you will see the animated visualisation of each team and their medal tally (ranking) over each day of the olympic games.
