How can I set that each column chart gets a random different color as the way the pie chart do? I am familiar that is it possible to set color manually on each column and that you can set the color based on the value, but that is not what I want.

I think conditional formatting feature will suitable for your requirement.
You can add a calculated field to generate random color codes based on current category, then enable conditional formatting feature to color format based on that field value.(color name or hex number)

Conditional formatting only works on tables? This could easily have been solved if there was an option for setting random colors in this section
