RLS - Choose Join Path With Filter Condition

Hi

  I have a requirement. I need to implement RLS but i have two join paths.

a.pngb.png

I have a user table which is connected with Assign table via User Id = Assignee. I can create a role and when user id 1 logs in he can see the Assign table details.

If user id 2 logs in there is no matching Assignee record in Assign table so it should take the another join path i.e. User -> Class -> Work -> Assign

I can't use USERELATIONSHIP.

My requirement if Assign is null it should choose another join path (inactive relationship) other wise regular path (active relationship)

@Hariharan_R ,

So based on your senario, in the role rule, if relationship between User and Class is activated, the relationship between User and Assign should be inactived, right? I'm afraid this couldn't be achieved because dax function can't inactive a relashonship between two tables.

Hi - I have the exact same scenario.

Was just wondering if, some 4 years later, the same answer is true that it can't be done?

Could USERELATIONSHIP not be utilised somehow?

Thanks in advance.
