I am trying to connect to my QB online account and every time I try to log in I get a script error. The connector doesn't work! Is anyone else having this issue?
Thanks.
The QuickBooks Online system has a known limitation that doesn’t allow 2 individual contacts with the same name to be pushed through to QuickBooks.
For example, in QuickBooks, there exists a contact with the name John Doe with the email johndoe@ onesaas.com.
When integrating with another system, QuickBooks Connector gets another John Doe contact, however with a different email address and contact details (johndoe2@ onesaas.com).
Because of this, QuickBooks Connector will treat both John Doe records as separate contacts. However if we try to push the new John Doe into QuickBooks, the QuickBooks API rejects this on the basis that the name is a duplicate.
When this happens, we'll automatically append the second contact with a '-1' (John Doe-1) to send it through to QuickBooks Online.
Its because the connector tries to use IE11 to authenticate and intuit stopped supporting IE11 in September 2020. you can get around this by installing the Chromium based Edge beta browser and setting a System Environmental Variable PQ_EnableEdgeChromiumOAuth = True (System Properties -> Advanced -> Environment Variables-> New).
Dont hold your breath though, even when you get it working it wont pull in the GL data tables which is where everything that matters is. The connector is a depreciated and incomplete mess.
It is not currently working. Here is the message on the support page.
Power BI customers attempting to author content with QuickBooks Online using the Power BI Desktop client may encounter an error window saying "Script Error". As a short term mitigation, the Intuit team has rolled back the impacting change for two weeks. During this time, customers are requested to log in using the Power BI desktop client and then refresh their report every 30 days until a permanent fix is available. The long term solution for this issue is expected to be deployed by the end of March, 2021.
For a work around I setup QBO to email me the reports I need every night. I use a power automate flow to save the attachments to a OneDrive folder and to convert them to .xlsx files. I then built my PBI reports from those excel files.
What error are you getting?

Phil
Proud to be a Super User!
I downloaded the application directly from PowerBI.com and I still get the error.
