What will happen if I moved my workspace from trial to pro?

Will I still be able to share the published pbix to non-user of power bi?

Indeed, all report-sharing functionality will be blocked until purchasing a Pro license.

Nothing will change, just a type of license , and you will have only pro capacity features, for example, copilot will not work.

So the other party needs to be either pro or premium for he/she can see and analyze the pbix files in the published format after the trial 60 days period. 

But correct me if I'm wrong, for first or non user if I shared the link to the published pbix filed will they be automatically be enrolled into 60 days trial after clicking and accepting the link?

I'm not sure I understand the question correctly. A PBIX file is local and opens on a desktop. In response to your other post, I attached a PBIX file for you. You can open it regardless of your license, as long as you're working locally on your desktop.

To share files in the cloud (service), a user needs a PRO/PPU license, either trial or non-trial. If the user didn't have a trial user previously, they can join a free trial period.

I'm not sure if this works with a link you send, so I recommended testing it on a test user.

If the user didn't have a trial user previously, they can join a free trial period"....Just for my understanding...when I publish the pbix and share the link...the person who received the link that don't have any power bi will be enrolled into the 60 days trial when he/she click the link in order to open the file. Is this right?

2. Can the person I shared the link can view my edit my pbix if I allocate him/her as viewer?

3.  Do you know what is the use of the semantic file? Can I delete it?

1. As I mentioned twice in previous responses make a test to check.

2. No Viewer can't modify the report

3. In Power BI Service, a semantic model is a structured way of organizing data to make it easy for users to analyze and visualize. It includes tables, relationships, and measures, providing a user-friendly interface to interact with complex data. This model helps ensure data consistency, improves query performance, and supports better data governance. If you will delete it , the report will be deleted too.

Thank you so much! I'm a bit of a security freak so just to make myself at ease. If I shared the link of the published pbix to a person then the public will not be able to view it if they don't have it.

When you move your Microsoft Fabric workspace from Trial to Pro, the following key changes will occur:

1. Licensing and Access Changes

• Your workspace will now require Power BI Pro licenses for all users who need to view or collaborate on reports.

• Power BI Free users will lose access to shared content unless they are in a Power BI Premium Per User (PPU) or Premium Capacity workspace.

2. Sharing Reports with Non-Power BI Users

• Direct Sharing: If your workspace is on Pro, you cannot share reports with users who do not have a Power BI Pro license.

• Publishing to Web: You can still use the Publish to Web feature (if enabled by your admin), allowing you to share reports publicly. However, this makes the report accessible to anyone with the link.

• Power BI Premium Consideration: If you need to share reports with users who do not have a Pro license, consider upgrading to Power BI Premium Capacity. This allows free users to access shared content.
