Question about slicers

Hello,

Quick question! Is it possible for me to have two slicers, e.g. one for brands and one for products.
Brand A has Product A1 and A2
Brand B has Product B1 and B2

I want all brand options to be showing in the slicer at all times. If I select Brand A, then Products A1 and A2 will be in slicer 2. But then if I click on Brand B now, is there a way to make slicer 2 change to show Products B1 and B2, rather than showing blank data?

Thanks

Hi @badger123 ,

I would suggest you do these:
1. Select the "product" slicer visual, click format, select Edit interaction, and select "None" as the filtering direction of brand slicer visual.

2.When you select other brands, you can click "clean selection" in the "Product" slicer visual to display only the products related to this brand.

Best Regards,
Liang

Yes. You need to edit the interactions between the slicers.

  1. Click on the 2nd slicer
  2. Click on the Format Menu (new ribbon style) and the Edit Interactions button in the far left.
  3. Now on Slicer 1 there are two little icons, a filter and a circle with a line through it. Select the circle. Now Slicer 1 will no longer "crossfilter" slicer 2.
