Question about power bi matrix and filter

picture 1.png

I have the above matrix, with the column "Widget_Color" as "filters on this page", when I select a specific color it filters the matrix nicely, my question is.....if NO filters  (colors from Widget_Color) are selected is there a way to display in the matrix only the column year and the totals as shown below?

your help is appreciated, thank you!

Hi @PowerBiNovice_1

Yes, even if the field is not presented in the visual it can filter the data, according to the model and its relationships.

Sorry for misunderstood @PowerBiNovice_1

Unfortunately, it is not possible to hide/show columns conditionally based on filter selection.

Please refer to the linked discussion about similar ( not the same, but with similar needed functionality)

Hello Ritaf thanks for replying, the field is presented in the visual but I would like to hide that field/column in the matrix if no value is selected in the filter, not sure if that is possible to do
