Question about drillthrough options

Thanks. I did see them as well. So far in order to make the drillthrough work, you have to actually have the field in the source table. everytime i take out the field from that table, the drill through no longer works. put it back in, the drillthrough works
I couldn't find anything that described whether or not you actually have the field in both the source and destination tables.
