    Thanks for the quick responses!

    I'm not sure about accessing different versions of Power BI through my organization, but I'll be sure to ask my DBA about it if this comes up in the future.

    In the meantime I was able to recover a previous version of my file by downloading from a published version and bring it up to date.

If it was a Live Connection to SSAS, you cannot edit the queries, but that is SSAS. You didn't specify the server type you were connecting to. That would help.

 

Your best bet though may be to just get a previous version of the PBIX and try again. That error could have been random, or could have been some sort of change on the server itself that was big enough that Power BI cannot compensate for. You'd need to discuss that with your DBA if that is the case to determine how to best proceed, and collaborate so they aren't making big changes to data you are using.
